Wow, your blog popped up in my recommended feeds on google reader today and I am so glad! I am just over a week into being gluten free and it looks like your blog will be a great resource! Thanks for all of the great tips. Once I have my regular computer back with itunes, I will be listening to your podcasts as well!

Hi there,

I just listened to your podcast because I was researching if you could get glutened without actually eating gluten. I just got back from vacation at the Jersey shore and sat in the famous pizza shop on the boardwalk and watched my kids eat that delicious ooey gooey pizza. Guess what, I have been sick as a dog ever since. I think that I was ingesting gluten just by inhaling. There has to be wheat particles in the air from the flour in the crust that they are tossing around while they make the pizza pies for all to watch. Interesting concept to consider.

Thanks.

Hi Maureen - I've been listening to your podcast for about 2 months now and have finally finished listening to the archives. I want to say that I really appreciate the podcast. I've got Celiac disease (unofficial diagnosis but the evidence is definitely in favor of this diagnosis versus others) and a lot of my family has been diagnosed with it in the past year or so - so it wasn't an unknown issue but it has been (and still is) an adjustment and your podcast has helped. Thank you, and keep up the great work.

Cheers

Great Show Maureen! Loved the Podcast and heard you mention tattoos! I see you got my email on the subject. Everyone I know loves the tattoo and the idea behind it. I got it on a road trip from Milwaukee to San Fransisco this past May and the trip was life changing for me as is this Celiac Disease. Its been a rough road and I am still find myself getting glutened after 3 years of slowly taking everything possibly glutenous out of my diet. Next month Im going to only eat food with "gluten free" on the label even if its water!LOL!. I know that sounds silly i should have been doing that all along, but there is so much food out there you would think it would be gluten free and ahhhh no! Anyone want a copy of my "Glutard" Tattoo shoot me a email

Great Show Maureen! I listened at the pool today. I am not into the tatoo thing but I do not begrudge anyone who is. Love the LA Ink idea though! As far as marking a milestone, I am more of a run a marathon or half marathon type of Gal! I also went to the WOW website. I'll let you know how their Chocolate Chip Cookies are.

FYI - I found out the hard way that Lindor Balls,(The marvals balls of chocolate from the Lindt Co.)are not GF!

our local gluten free Restaurant, Laura's Bistro, in Plano TX had to close because of the economy too. It made me so sad, their food was wonderful & they are such nice people. A tattoo huh? Nope I don't think so.... but I can say that my life has drastically improved overall since going gluten free!

I'm very intrigued with the idea of proclaiming gluten free freedom with a tattoo, have your listeners send in photos of their tattoo's and post them for us all to see - perhaps we will find inspiration?
