This is a great idea and will go far. I know many people who are allergic to gluten and would love to eat pizza. Even for those of us who don’t suffer from it, it would still be enjoyable.

zpizza serves great gluten free pizza, any day of the week. They are next to Byerly’s in Roseville, they must have started offering it a couple months ago, I have been there like 10 times since they started offering it. I love it!!!

After reading this press release I was motivated to check out Uno’s website and GF offerings. I have to be dairy free as well so the pizza still isn’t an option for me but they’ve got a nice selection of other GF items and best of all their nutrition information contains all of the ingredients so I could find something to eat that was safe for all of my issues. (They’ve also got a touch screen kiosk in their lobby that links to their nutrition information!)

I stopped at an Uno Chicago Grill for a late dinner last night and had a hamburger patty with red onions and guacamole and a side of brown rice w/ craisins and mango. It was terrific! Thanks for helping to get the news out about their pizza launch as well as motivating me to finally check them out!

I have to add my endorsement to Julia about UNO having a terrific GF menu other than the new pizza. I did try the pizza on Monday at our local UNO (Fredericksburg, VA) and I thought it was very good. Definitely thin and crispy and I would have preferred a little less tomato and a little more cheese, but again I was very pleased. It was a typical small-sized pizza with 6 slices for $11.49. (I thought that was a good value.) I ate half there and the next half for lunch the following day. Better than their pizza, was their service and attention. Three members of our group have been so far and each time the manager on duty has come out and spoken with them about their procedures to ensure safety. In addition, one couple decided they needed another pizza for the two of them and the manager provided it compliments of the house. And, last the best thing is the manager of our UNO has offered to host a free smorgasbord of all their GF products for our support group. That will probably be our next meeting! Smart marketing and nice for us to be so welcomed.

This is good news. I wish we still had an UNO in MN. They closed the only one some time ago. Though, being Celiac meant that I would not have been able to go there. Pizza Luce which is a local (Twin Cities, MN) not so long ago gone to offering gluten free on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and is FANTASTIC. They have a great gluten free menu and we’ve tried several items on there including spinach dip (with GF rolls) and chicken wings!!! Things you can’t usually get GF in a restaurant.

They will be incredibely successfull.

In Toronto a Pizza chain sold 2100 pies in their first week after announcing their version of a GF Pizza.

I lead a celiac/gluten intolerance support group and belong to another one and as soon as I saw this news everywhere today, I sent out an email to everyone! All our area locations have the GF pizza. Unfortunately, none of them have GF beer to go with it. LOL I won’t miss the beer, but I know some folks would like it. All the managers I spoke with promised to see about carrying it. I know that some locations are carrying Redbridge, just none of the ones near us. I’ve done well with the rest of Uno’s GF menu so I am really looking forward to trying this pizza.
