		<description>I actually wonder that myself on occasion when smelling something gluteny... we were at the local science museum and I was smelling those really doughy pretzels (which I used to LOVE) and that thought hit me again (it wasn&#039;t the first time).  So you&#039;re definitely not the only person to wonder this.  Though we may be the only two ;D.</description>

Some of the pasta will dissolve in the water and end up in the water vapor as it boils, though probably not very much.  I guess &quot;is it possible?&quot; and &quot;is it likely?&quot; are two different questions though. 

Here&#039;s an abstract that seems a little bit relevant, though I suspect these guys were inhaling a lot more than a couple of breaths&#039; worth of pasta vapor:
