I usually eat just 1/2 an avocado as well, so I wrap the remaining 1/2 really, really tightly in tin foil and put it in my veggie crisper. When you open it back up, just thinly slice the top part off (the avocado will turn brown as it is exposed to the air).
Once you've sliced off the "brown stuff", the rest of the avocado will be green and fresh!

I have never seen depression glass reamers, they look pretty awesome.

I love avocados too, but I just wish they came in half sizes. My boyfriend won't eat them and I don't want to splurge and eat the whole thing in one sitting and I only like them freshly prepared.

The reamers were a nice attempt at domesticity! Now that we have all seen them, I think you should juice something just for the heck of it!

These are some interesting picks. I don't think I've ever seen an avocado pitter. Now, I could sure use something that pits a mango. Those fruit sure hang onto their seeds!

I still use my grandma's green depression glass reamer. She liked LOTS of lemon in her iced tea. A squeeze just wouldn't do.
